Anchor's Away

This one holds my favorite story behind a drawing. A woman came to me and said that her Dad had been in the Navy for x amount of years ( I can't remember how many ) and he was going to have a retirement party and then move to Florida. She asked me if I could draw a picture from an old black and white photograph of her Dad when he was very young. She wanted to present it to him at his retirement party. It was an awesome photograph. It reminded me of the old black and white Hollywood photos of Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire! I had a great time drawing it and I spoke to her a while later and asked how it went when she gave him the portrait. She replied... "It was the first time I've ever seen my Dad cry".

Transformation

I never title my work but if I did, I think I would call this one "transformation."

A colored pencil drawing. I'm playing with scanning my work in Photoshop and adding on a matt.

There's something about flowers I just really love!

The "Eyes" Have It!"

My cousin, Jennifer.

Drawing faces has always been an amazing experience for me. I love the eyes. I feel like I'm tapping into a person's soul when I draw their eyes.

These are a few colored pencil drawings I did when I was attending a school for personal and spiritual transformation. We were trained to do work with subtle energies as well as massage, reflexology, etc. It was during that training that I was led to draw these. I always wanted to see them on the web!
